about
Broxton started this song directly after releasing his sophomore album, Patience. This song was mainly inspired by friend and musician, Tom Fowkes. Broxton wanted to experiment in the indie genre and asked Project Sonic to join him on the song.
“I keep saying to everyone it’s my best yet. I can’t tell if I’m unconsciously trying to manifest it or if it really is true” - Broxton
Broxton claims that this song would not be what it is without the support of Project Sonic. Stating that “they really brought the track to life” with their progressive sound. Broxton worked on this song for months before finally being happy with the overall mix and master.
lyrics
Tim:
Our souls never seem to calm down
So long my special friend
Weighed down, you're out of luck
Sometimes we're out of touch
We grow so hopeful in the rough
We hold tight 'til we're sure enough
(we're sure enough)
Oscar:
I'm watching her walk
Moving vibrations
I'm watching her talk
I'm not moving my stations
Oh I
Oh I feel it deep in the depth of my colours
The depth of my colours
Oh at the depth of my colours
The depth of my colours
Tim:
Our souls never seem to calm down
So long my special friend, my special friend
(my special friend, my special friend)
